Dear Family and Friends,

This week and a half-ish has been awesome!! So much excitement! :)) There are so many flies!! I get them stuck in my arm hair, and in my eyes when I ride my bike!

Monday- We had our zone p-day. We did some kickball and capture the flag. I guess it was pretty fun. People got too competitive though, hahah and I am not competitive at all. We invited this Chinese guy named D to come and play with us. He came. He was a cool guy. We have never met him before, he was the one guy who we got a phone call from the other day, who was wanting to learn English! Cool, smart guy. He wasn't awkward either, he just joined right in and played. So that was good. Then we went to the Y's for dinner. We had a good lesson with them about a scripture in Alma 34 and related it to a scripture in Ether 9, I would explain, but I don't have enough time! We challenged them to give away a couple BOM's as a family. Then we tried a couple potentials, and that was the night.

Tuesday- We had district meeting. I felt inspired to teach my district to start flooding the area with the Book of Mormon. It really hit me hard, that that's what the people here in the Thornlie District need. I think it went pretty well. After that, we tried to go visit sister B's but she wasn't feeling well. Then we went to the S's and had a pretty good discussions with them. We talked about keeping the Sabbath day holy, (which was interesting btw because they are 7th day Adventist) and we talked about Adam and Eve. It was a LONG talk. It was good though. They are the nicest people. We love going over there too because they are a samoan/ tongan family, and they ALWAYS feed us heaps haha! then we went on ward splits. I went with Brother M to a couple homes, then we went home and had dinner, and that was the night!

Wednesday-Busy day! We had interviews with President in the morning, then we went back to the flat to finish our studies. After that we had lunch then we dropped by P and M's houses. (P is from Togo. M is from Indonesia)They were both home surprisingly! We gave P a BOM, and we invited M to church.

After that we went back to our flat so Elder Mamea could have language study with Elder and Sister Comb. Then we went to the Chapel and had a lesson with the recent convert, E. He's he is struggling a little bit. His family doesn't know he joined the church, and he doesn't want them to know either because his family is Catholic. We had a good lesson on 2 Nephi 32 and talked about the Holy Ghost. We had sister M come as well because she is pretty good friends with E. It was a really good spirit there. Then we quickly rode to the R's house. We had dinner there and taught them about prayer. After that we had to ride our bikes to C's house. She is an investigators the sisters gave to us because they couldn't get anyone to go teach her with them. We taught her the plan of salvation. We invited her to be baptized, she said she would, but she wouldn't commit to a date. So we had her pray and ask if baptism was right for her. There was an awesome spirit there. After that we went home and mid-week correlated and planned.

Thursday- We weekly planned and stuff. Then we tried to go visit this guy from Singapore we met the other day. He wasn't feeling very well. Then we went to see S and A. We were going to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but by request of S, we taught the plan of salvation instead. It was soooooooo goooooooooooood!!! A was so in to it the entire time!!  He was pretty pumped by the end of it!! We invited him to be baptized, and he said yes!!!!! He'll be baptized November 7th!! So yeah, it would be nice if y'all could pray for him.

After the lesson A was saying that he had a really bad toothache. We offered to give him a blessing. So I gave him a blessing, and the spirit was so strong. In the blessing I was saying stuff that he said he hasn't told anyone. The sprit was so strong. Then his brother, C who is a recent convert asked for a blessing as well. Elder Mamea gave him a blessing, and it was soooooooooo powerful. I haven't ever heard Elder Mamea talk with such power before. It was amazing!! A stayed in the room for C's blessing, and he said that he was getting these warm sensations all over his body and that he was feeling so good!! We helped him recognize that as the Spirit. He thought it was the coolest thing!! Then we had to hop on our bikes and book it to the P's to have dinner. We had a good dinner and lesson. We talked about faith. Then we tried to visit the N's, but they were having a massive party, and so was Js, so that was the night.

Friday- Mission Conference. I played prelude for seriously like an hour and a half because we got there so early because the zone leaders had a meeting. I did heaps of sight reading, but it was good! I finally saw my MTC companion again, Elder Wheeler!! He's the man!

We had an AMAZING mission conference!! Elder Pearson is an amazing teacher, or at least the spirit is, because I have never got so much out of a meeting. I was balling at the end of it while we were singing called to serve. It was my first time crying on my mission.

Then we had lunch, then we went back and got to work. We tried to visit brother R, but apparently he is in Busselton. Then we went to try to see W, but he wasn't home. Then we went to the K's for dinner. We had a good lesson on about how we all need to pray and plead to have the spirit with us everyday in our lives. After that we went to the F's and shared a message about how we need the scriptures everyday in our lives. I shared 1 Nephi 6:6. Then we rode home in the cold dark, and that was the night!

Saturday-We had ZLC in the morning and it ended up going forever because we ended up planning all of zone meeting. I was assigned to train the zone on being Diligent in the work. After the meeting we had lunch, then we tried to see a couple people, but they weren't home.

Then we went to P's house to teach C. C wasn't there, so we taught P instead. His nephews were there and they look like mini rajon rondo's! they were the funniest kids. We shared a quick spiritual thought with them, then we went to J's. She wasn't home. Then we tried the W's. We went up to their house, and we saw them getting into their car to leave. So we walked up really quick, and they shut the car door on us. Then I asked where they were going, and it turns out it wasn't the W's... hahah I just looked like a super creeper. They got out of the car and it just so happened to be a different Taiwanese couple. I thought it was one of those cool/ weird meant to be stories, but then they said they weren't interested. They also said they don't even know who the W's are. They said they have lived in the house they are at now for a couple years. Which is weird because I went to that house a couple weeks ago, and we visited the W's!! I was so confused. We walked home, and that was the night!

Sunday- Just a good ol' day at church. We went to church in the morning with L at Jandacott ward. Then we came back for church at our own ward. A and S came, yessssssss! Then Brother Vave came and picked us up. We went there and made our own pizzas. It was fun. They are a super cool couple. They are suuuuuuuper faithful to the church. Good good people. We had a lesson about the importance of prayer and how it relates to us having the spirit with us everyday. After that they dropped us off, and I had to correlate and that was the night!

Monday- We didn't have p-day obviously, which was kind of weird. But we did some service in the morning at Sister R's house. We did some weeding for 2 hours. I was dying because there were so many bugs hahaha!! After that we went back to the flat and finished our studies, and had lunch. Then we tried to see a few people, which didn't work. Then we tracted for a good 3 hours. It was fun! We met all kinds of people. Egyptian, Trinidadian, Argentinian, Polish, Chinese. We ended up finding one potential. It was this Chinese girl. We gave her a BOM after sharing with her a scripture based on her needs on her porch. She seemed pretty solid. After that L picked us up and we went to their house and had a feed. Then we had a good message with them, and that was the night!

Tuesday-We had and AWESOME zone meeting. It went a little overtime, but it was so good! Then we had a quick zlc. Then we went home and land lunch. after that we tried visiting heaps of formers. No one was home, ( as always) but we ran into Bishop's Son's friend, who isn't a member. He said we could come teach him this week. He really loves talking to me about America. He is a nice kid. I honestly think he crossed our path for a reason though. I could see him being baptized soon. After that, we saw this bus broken down on the side of the road, the bus driver was panicking. We stopped our bikes and he vented to us. Then I offered to say a prayer to help calm his nerves. It helped! That was cool, then we went tracting, and talked to these funny old people. Then we had an hour conversation with this guy on his lawn. He was the coolest, straight thinker I've met since I've been here. He's like a brother Woodhouse mixed with Grandpa Dick Beeson. I could talk to that guy for hours. We gave him a Book of Mormon. He was a real genuine guy. Then we went to Brother H's, and he fed us. then we went on ward splits and I went with Brother P. We went to L's house and shared a spiritual thought with her. Then we went to ward council, and that was the night!

It's been a pretty busy past couple of days, and I am actually really starting to love tracting! You really have no clue what kind of person you'll talk to or run into! People from all over the world.

Thank you for your prayers, I have been strengthened by them this week! I love you all, do what is right so you can be happy :)

love, Elder Beeson

Sept 13, 2015

Hello family and friends!! This has been the fastest week of my mission by far!! I can hardly remember what happened, but it was all good stuff :) and yes, my thighs are massive from being on my bike so much!!

Monday-We did shopping, then A picked us up and we kicked the ball around. Then we did a circuit work out with him. I was dyyyyying. I'm so fat. haha, then we got an aloevera drink after, and I was okay. :) Then we went to Bishop G's for dinner and fhe. We had a good fhe about keeping the Sabbath day holy. That has been the big topic for the past couple of weeks. It's good though! Then we tried to go visit some other people, but no one was home, and that was pretty much the night!

Tuesday- We went on less active visits in Huntingdale. We went to Sister R's, then we tried like 3 other people, and they weren't home, then we went to S's. We had a good lesson on 1 Nephi 17. We talked about how Moses and the serpents could be related to prayer. A, and non-member who was there was really intrigued. We committed S, C, and A to come to church, (and they did!!).

Then we tried to see this other less active man, but he was already asleep. (It's weird, people here go to sleep as soon as it gets dark, so as soon as it's like 6:00, no one will answer their doors, it's SO annoying!) Then we went to the C to teach L. Apparently he's started smoking again :( He has seizures when he does now too! ugh. We had a good lesson with him though! Then we headed home to have some dinner, and to plan for the next day.

Wednesday- We had our ZLC meeting (zone leadership council) and we talked about how we could get more people to sacrament meeting. So that was our focus this week, was sacrament meeting attendance. Then honestly, I cannot remember what happened the majority of the day. I do remember that we talked with S, who was a former investigator. He is an awesome guy. He is a 7th Adventist from American Samoa. We shared with him a scripture about humility from the bible. He LOVED it. He invited us back for a feed sometime. aaaaaaannnnnnnnnnd I can't remember what happened after that! oops!

Thursday- We weekly planned, and we didn't get out of the flat until like 3:00. It's because I went through the ENTIRE area book. We picked out some formers who looked pretty solid, and we are going to visit them this week. Then we tried to visit this Elder we have never seen in the ward, and we walked there because it was really rainy. apparently the guy doesn't live there anymore, so we decided to tract until dinner time since it took us 45 minutes to walk there. We didn't have too much success, but it was good because we practiced a ton of different door approaches, and it was fun! Then we walked back to our flat to get our bikes to ride to sister L's house for dinner. We had Fish pie and other very british foods and desserts. It was good though. Then Elder Mamea shared his favorite scripture, and I testified. Then we talked to her less active brother, who was a neat guy. Then we dropped by the N's but they weren't home, neither was president , so we went back to our flat and prepared for zone conference!

Friday- We had a suuuuuuuuuuuuper good zone conference. The zl's picked us up at 6:45 because there was a district leader training right before zone conference. Then zone conference was suuuuuuuuuuuper good. President Fife put in place a new rule, we get to go to the temple once a transfer as long as we live within a 2 hour drive of the temple!! That means I get to go next week!!! ahhhhhhhhhh so happy :))) But he said that the days we go to the temple are going to count as our p-days for the week. So that means that next week I will have my p-day on either Wednesday or Thursday. So don't freak out when you don't get an email okay?! Then he was saying how he had the impression that this mission will soon be having miraculous success. He said that he has the impression that we will have 20 baptisms per companionship per month soon! What?!!!! So bold, so powerful. Then after zone conference, we tried to visit heaps of people, but again, no one was home, but if they were, they were sick. We dropped by P's house, but he was gone. His Muslim parents let us in though.  We shared an experience about prayer. It was good. Then we tried to visit more people, but again, no one was home!!!  That was pretty much the night.

Saturday- We were supposed to teach this guy at the chapel because he wanted to know more about Christianity, but he never showed up. So we went and gave this baby a blessing instead because the night before we got a call from someone at like 11 the night before asking if we could, but we were like 12 k's away. So we did it instead of teaching H. After the blessing, we met at the chapel for our district blitz, but the sisters wanted to meet at the park, so we went to the park, which was forever away. We got there and they gave us the wrong park! so we had to go all the way back!! (huge thighs) ;) the wind blows against us no matter which way we go too!! Then for the blitz we just did a lot of follow ups on potentials.

We got a return appointment with this dude named D. He was a cool guy.  We got a ride with the zone leaders  because I was sick of biking haha. We finally taught C. He is this guy from Togo. He is a certified preacher there and everything. We taught him the restoration, and he voluntarily said he'd read and pray about the Book of Mormon!!! That was so cool! He's so keen!!! We decided to go to Js house. We walked there because it was super rainy. We had a good lesson with her. We read with her Mormon 9 because she still isn't sure if there's a God. She really liked it. I think it's what she needed. We invited her to church, and she was pretty enthusiastic about coming, but she didn't :( Then we walked home and had dinner, and that was the day!

Sunday- kind of a normal sunday, but again, like every lesson had something about the Sabbath day in it! Then we went to the A's for dinner, and we had a really good lesson.

This week went by so fast! I love the work here. Thank you all for your prayers and support! I love you all :)

Elder Beeson
G'day family and friends!! This has been the best week of my mission so far! :))
I may not get to everything I did this whole week because I would rather talk about the MIRACLES! :>

Monday-we had a fun p-day. We played basketball at the park with the zone leaders and the Queens Park Elders. We were pretty much playing in the rain the whole time, but it was fun :) Then we got changed and went to our appointment with L. He has been able to make some big steps this past week because he can't physically can't smoke because of the stitches he has in his mouth. SO cool. We taught him the story of Alma the Younger. He wasn't really getting into it, so we just started asking him what he needed to hear. The spirit guided us and we got to the underlying issue of everything!
It was sooooooo so so cool. Then we dropped by this potential's house at 8:30ish, and it looked like we just woke him up so he told us to come back later.

Tuesday- It was my first district meeting where I had to train.  I really learned how to rely on the Lord in my studies. I ended up feeling impressed to train on being exactly obedient, but more importantly being STRICTLY obedient to the morning schedule and just staying out of the flat all day.

I really feel it's what the district needed, because ever since then, we have been having miracles right and left.
After that, we had lunch, then we went to sister L's house. They are the nicest  ladies. We practice taught the restoration to them. They loved it! They didn't give us much feedback though because they are too nice. Then we rode all the way to the C's. They were a member referral that we got from both the bishop and the stake president. We had a very good lesson about the importance of prayer and scripture study as a family. They were so nice to us. I spilled some sprite they gave me on their couch (typical ;) ) and they didn't get too mad! But yeah, it went really well. Then we went on ward splits. I went with brother H. We tried a couple houses, but they weren't home. We ended at The B's. We invited her to church, and she said she'd come! Then we rode home from the chapel for dinner, and that was the night!

Wednesday-We started the morning off by seeing sister P.
She is the nicest lady. She joined the church when she was 50, and always says she wishes she could have joined earlier. She's from Peru. We shared Mosiah 2:41. She loved it!

Then we went to this district leader meeting. It was LONG. But while I was there, I got a strong impression that we needed to tract right after. So after the meeting we tracted, and we ran into this Indonesian guy who was super enthusiastic when he answered the door, which NEVER happens! He was way cool. He said he wanted us back the next time he had a day off, but man, it was nice to finally have someone be nice to us! Then we went to the S's and we talked for a long time about their church and our church.
They are 7th day Adventists  and they were really open to learn about our church after we asked so many questions about theirs. We taught a lot of the plan of salvation to them. Then they bought us pizza, and  all the sudden the power went out. Apparently it happens a lot because people crash into the telephone poles! weird. Then L and Lpicked us up from there and we had some kfc! Then they dropped us off at our flat and I mid-week correlated and went to bed :)

Thursday-Here comes the Miracles :) We weekly planned in the morning. The zone leaders picked us up and dropped us off and Brother R's house. He was just about to leave, but we caught him! we shared a good scripture about how the book of Mormon and Bible compliment each other. He liked it.

After that we were walking to S's house. On our way there we got a call. It was this Chinese man named D. He said that he saw a poster in the library that was saying we did free English lessons. That class hasn't happened in forever. So I made a couple phone calls to the office and the couple who teach language class. I called D back and told him all the info. I thought he was only interested in learning English better, but he really was interested in the church, almost more interested!! He asked about the activities we do, and he said he wanted to make friends and that he wanted us to come have lunch with him sometime!! What?!?!?! That was a miracle.

Then at S's house, Elder Mamea shared with him a scripture in Samoan, and I bore my testimony. We went to Brother T's house. He had just got back from his first chemo treatment. He was talking about how well we did on our song together on Sunday.  His son made some dinner for us, and we left with him a scripture about how to deal with adversity. I think it meant a lot to him.  His son dropped us off at P's house.

We got there as soon as P was pulling up.  We had a good talk with him about coming to church. He has been struggling coming because he doesn't really have any friends in the ward. He's also been super busy with trying out for the Olympics.
We shared a few scriptures with him and he was getting pretty pumped about coming back!! Then he gave us a ride home, and that was the night! But yeah, it was all about timing that day. WE showed up at the perfect time at people's houses.

Friday- I did a 12 week and Elder Mamea and I did a good language study. We visited Sister B in the rest home. She is a funny old lady. She's  German. We talked to her a lot about families. She loved it. We shared scriptures of why families are so important.

After that we went to our district blitz in the sister's area.

But we found this Shia muslim guy. His name is A. He was the coolest guy! He is from Afghanistan, and he was saying how much he loves the Americans because they saved him and his family! He was right in the middle of all the crazy stuff there. He was talking about how he is a Muslim but he loves to read all the holy books other religions have.
So.... I placed my first book of Mormon with him!!  Who would have thought my first Book of Mormon placing would be with a Muslim?! He was really excited to read it.

He told us that the night before he had this dream, that he saw Christ. He said that he asked if he was the Messiah, then Christ said yes, then A asked about all the stuff that was going wrong in the world, then Christ put his arm around A, and said, "don't worry, I'll take care of everything." That was awesome!!! He really wanted us to come back soon so we could teach him more. He recognized that we could be the answer to that dream!! Miracle!!

Then when we were biking to W's house, and we saw these two guys playing basketball, so we played a pick up game with them and it was fun!
Then we kicked a footie around. I was talking to the Aboriginal guy about his beliefs. It was cool because he and his friend kind of just opened up to us. They were cool guys, but you could tell they had really rough backgrounds. They wanted to play with us again sometime soon. Then we tried to go to W's house, he wasn't home, so we went to J's house. He was FINALLY home. He is a really cool Phillipino guy. He was telling us that he wanted to come back to church, but he was so busy. So we had a good lesson on putting the Lord first, then everything will fall into its proper place. He was pretty excited to go to church by the end of it!!

Then we rode home. It was pouring rain pretty hard, and we were going up hill the whole way too! I felt like a champ ;) Then we had exchanges that night. I went with Elder Brinkerhoff to his area.

Saturday- The best day of my mission so far!! :) We started out the day going to a district blitz in Shelley. We were in a pretty rich area, so the people were either really nice or just rejected us right off the bat. We talked to some really cool nice people. We got a solid potential girl named S from Zimbabwe. Then we found this Atheist dude. He was super intellectual and when we were first talking to him he was just bashing on the bible and how people who believe in God are so dumb, but by the end of our conversation which lasted almost an hour, he committed him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon!!!! It was soooooooooooooooo coooooooooooooll!!!

Elder Brinkerhoff and I were just smashing it together. It was so much fun. Then we did some grocery shopping for lunch, then we went to this less active Aboriginal house, they weren't home, and it was a pretty sketchy neighbourhood, so we dropped our bikes off at the flat.

Then we were trying to figure out where to go next, and we were about to pull out onto the main road, but then this dude walked up to the car and knocked on the window. He asked if we were Mormons. ha We said yes, then he asked which type of Bible we study. We told him the King James version. He was happy to hear that, then he asked if we could come by and teach him sometime!!! Whatttttt?!!!! That is as miraculous as you can get here!!! That was amazing.

We visited this less active's house, but they weren't home so we decided to tract the area. We met this Polish dude who came out with his shirt off and he was just about to get in the shower. He had the heart of a child. He was the funniest and nicest guy.

Then we saw this man trying to take out this massive stump of this plant. He saw us coming over and he was like, "oh no, you guys aren't Mormons are you?" and we were like " heck yes we are!!! "

Then we helped him for an hour take out the stump! We had a really good conversation with him.  But we figured out with him (halfway through) that he was drunk. But it was nice to help him. Then we tried to go to Brother H's to just pop in for dinner, but he wasn't home, neither were the F's so we went to the M's. They gave us dinner! Then we got back to the flat, and Elder Mamea and his exchange were still out so we ended up all staying there for the night. But yeah, it was the best day yet, I loved it. We worked super hard.

Sunday-Nothing too special. It was a really good testimony meeting though.  They also did a combined third hour for some reason, and I was playing prelude just because, and then Bishop announced the opening song, and I've never even heard of it before. It was really rough!! hahahaha pretty much everyone in there was laughing at me. My face was really red.

Then after church we got dinner from Sister T. Then we went by J's house. He is the funniest guy ever!! He asked if we could come by to do service and studies on Tuesday! I can't wait!!! Then we went to J's house.

But yeah, this week was super good! especially the end of the week :) I hope y'all are doing well. I keep all of you in my prayers. Keep being good people! :)

Love
Elder Beeson

This week has been pretty crazy. I don't have a lot of time, so I'll get right to it!

Monday- We went to the city and got some souveneir stuff. We went to the H's to say goodbye, then to the A's. Then we had dinner at the R's house. We followed up on our commitment with them to read the Book of Mormon everyday. It went well. Then we went and said goodbye to the k's and the f's, and that was the night.

Tuesday-We had District meeting. I made a map of my area/ward while we were there. Then we went to our flat and said our goodbyes to Elder Maybee, After that we went to P's house. His brother opened the door, and he said that we could teach him too. That was pretty neat. Then we went to Brother R's house. He was a little ill. He said we could come over the next day and help him out. Then we went and visited a couple formers. They weren't home. Then we ditched the bikes and walked since Elder Mamea had a bad bike crash earlier in the day hahaha! We tried visiting a couple more less actives but no one was home! We walked so much!!! It was good though I was very tired and happy at the end of the day.

Wednesday- Honestly, I can't think of what happened. I only remember the end of the day. We visited a former that Elder Mamea taught before, and she said we could come by on Sunday!! That was really cool. Then we walked to another former's house, and on the way, we saw the B's son and his friends playing cricket so we played with them for a little bit. Then we tried to visit J, but he wasn't home. The W's weren't home either. But we worked really hard again!

Thursday-We did our weekly planning, then we dropped by S's house, and E a potential, but neither of them were home. So we dropped by the K's to meet brother K's. He is a big guy and was way cool too. Then we went with A really quick to S's house to check up on him. While we were there, I got a call from Elder Wheeler my MTC companion!

I was so glad to hear from him. He's the man. Then We went back to the K's Then L, and L picked us up and we had a nice feed. Elder Mamea cut Li's hair while we were there. Then we went back home and that was the night.

Friday- We tried to visit Brother T but he was feeling very ill. So we walked to the K's to get our bikes. To be honest, Elder Mamea and I had no clue how to get there because we were walking through the parks. We got out of the park and we were in this weird neighborhood, and then we were back in a park and we ended up on this dirt trail in this swamp. We were lost for a good hour and a half. But we found our way to S's.

Then S gave us a ride to A's (which apparently is right around the corner) haha but we got there right in time for their family work out! Oh man. It was tough. I was sweating really bad. We had to do all this crazy stuff, and I hate working out, so that was a pain.

They fed us since we did it. Brother K made a mean barbeque and then we had a lesson with them. It was good, because  it turned into a discussion about faith, and about all the little things we have to do everyday to keep our faith.

After that we dropped by the B's house and we shared with them a quick message on prayer. Then he gave us some people to visit in the ward! NIce! Then we went back to the flat and that was the night!

Saturday- The A's picked us up at 8 and we did service for brother A's bus driver friend. It was a ton of weeding and trimming trees and bushes. It was some good work.

Then they hurried and got us some mackas and we got ready for our district blitz. The  zone leaders picked us up and we met at the chapel. The blitz went pretty well. We found 3 potentials in our area! That was nice. We also met Sister Johnson, the new sister in our district. She's from Malysia. Apparently they don't have last names there, so she just chose one!
After that we went to the appointment with P and his brother, but P was sleeping, and his brother was gone.
So we took the bus back to the chapel, and we had a district leader meeting. I met some of the new missionaries there too. Right after the meeting there was a culture night at the chapel. So we stayed, and we had L and L come. It was really fun. There were heaps of people there. After that L and L said they didn't eat enough so they took Elder Mamea and I to Hungry Jack's!
It was pouring rain all night. Then we went back to the flat for the night.

Sunday- We went to the chapel early so I could practice for that musical number for Brother T. We went through it once together before sacrament meeting. He looked pretty sick though. Then we played the musical number and a postlude thing .

Then after church we went by P's house. His brother was unloading some kitchenware in the front. He apologized for not being there on Saturday. He said we could come by again next Saturday a little bit later. Then we went to President Pemberton's house for dinner. It was only his wife and son that were home for the dinner. President and his daughter came in right as we were about to share our message. I think it went very well. Elder Mamea prepared a message about obedience.

President gave us some people to visit and we were off! We went to J's house. She had heaps of her Chinese friends and family over. They were having some pretty authentic Chinese food. I loved it! They had squid, shee, crab, tofu, fried tofu, and other weird stuff. I liked it though! Then we taught her a lesson on Alma 32. She really liked it. Apparently she has been taught heaps, so we will have to review a lot of that stuff. She was really nice to us. She gave us some sodas to take home, and we set up a return appointment. Then we went back, and I did my first full week correlation. It wasn't too bad!

This week has been really busy. Elder Mamea and I really had to step up and work together. It was a lot of fun. I know that we can do anything if we rely on the Saviour!

I love you all, keep doing what's right!

Love,
Elder Beeson
I'll finally be a little more personal for the letters from you mom hahaha!!

It sounds like nothing is really changing! First off, is Claire driving yet?? Is my car still sitting by the mailbox?? haha I don't know why, but I've been thinking about my car lately. I'm just curious I guess!

I don't remember doing that name to be honest. I know there were some other Beeson's in there, but they were on your dad's side..... so that's awkward ;)
I'm glad to hear that Jack is growing up a little bit every week. It's funny that he decided to step up as soon as I left you know? Wow! John MIller is finally retiring!!! That's crazy. When is it going to be? Who's the new band director?? Also, hows the show going?

I loved that first hand written letter! I forgot to ask, did dad ever get my rock?? Oh and did you ever send me a package? I haven't gotten it yet if you did. Also, what's the last photo you got from me? I don't know how many of them send through.

I had a really good week this week, Though Tuesday was the hardest day of my mission so far. When Elder Maybee left, I just had the most empty feeling inside. So I went in the bathroom and prayed for a long time. Then Elder Mamea and I got to work, and it ended up being one of the best days of my  mission. I've really had to step it up this week being district leader and all. I've been lost in the work since he left. But yeah, thank you for your prayers!!

one more thing. So do you know how you used to pray for people on your mission to help them break word of wisdom probs... that they would feel physically sick if they wanted to smoke?

Well I told one of our investigators that  and he was kind of like "whatever," Then a couple weeks later after praying for that pretty consistently, I got a text from him, and he said that he was in the hospital getting surgery on his face. (He had been in a car accident when he was little, and his face is a little disfigured) then he said that he had stitches in his mouth and that he couldn't smoke for a long time. I helped him recognize that that was the answer to our prayers for him. He was very happy about it.
It was a testimony builder to me that the Lord has a plan for everyone. Who would have known that a car accident would make him be able to quit smoking later on?! crazy. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

I love you mom. Hopefully I'll have time to write the massive email!!

I love all of you, I really do!

Love, Elder Beeson
