Flooding Perth with.....water!

Dear family and Friends,
This week was crazy in every way! It has been the coldest February here in the last 100 years! Lots of storms and flooding.

On Monday night we went by to see one of our investigators, but he was busy so we ended up talking to/ teaching his friend who was Hindu. It was funny because he was just bashing on us for not being vegetarians. He accused us of being murderers for eating meat. My companion got a little defensive, because that is literally all we eat ;)

On Tuesday I woke up feeling really sick. It literally has only been like the 2nd day of my mission feeling sick. I was supposed to rest the whole day, but we had heaps of meetings and stuff to prepare for so I didn't get to rest, but I had a blessing from our wonderful district leader, and I was fully recovered by the next day! :)

We had 2 power outages this week as well. One of them was really funny because we had the Albany elders stay with us at our flat for stake conference, and they were in the middle of getting haircut, but then yeah... the power went out, so he had to get the rest of his hair cut a bit later.. haha. Also the wind was blowing so hard that it blew off the gate in the backyard. ( if my companion or I had a camera I would have taken pictures...)

Last night I had sort of a birthday dinner with some of my favorite members and some investigators. they went all out! They made a roast and even made a peach pie! Which I specifically told them NOT to make ;) haha. I love the members here!

Honestly though this week was pretty tiring because we had 6 meetings within a 24 hour period, and another 6 meetings throughout the week. But I learned about how important it is to be prepared for meetings, because those who preside take time to think of how they can help everyone who comes to the meeting. So I learned that every meeting is good and worth it as long as you are seeking revelation, or of how you can change something, as a result of what you learned.

Love you all!
