Dear Everyone,
This last week was good!
We went on exchanges with the Como elders, I went with Elder Manlapat, and we worked HARD! it was so fun. Lots of cool little miracles throughout the day. it's been random lately though because we have run into heaps of off-the-records less actives, just from biking and bussing. We had a few less actives approach us as we were doing that not only on exchanges but throughout the week! We biked to one of the randomest corners of our area, where I have never been, and it is random, it's like a kennel district for breeding dogs, and so the whole time there, there was just heaps of barking. I felt like I was in a third world country. hahah did some tracting... had some VERY interesting experiences there... ( if you want to know, email me about it. (it's not appropriate for this mass email...)) But yeah I got super sun burned, but it's already a tan now, so that's good ;)
We also went on exchanges with the assistants. It was funny/ good to be with elder Tua'itanu again. Did some mean street contacting up in the city. We found this lady who knows my friend Morgan who is serving in Belgium right now!! What the heck?!!!!
Also, we totally got caught up with these two Asians who approached me and asked if I could take a picture of him and his girl friend with their Australian t shirts. and so I took a few pics, and then we asked where they were from, and the didn't really answer, then we told them we were missionaries, and then the dude totally shut down, but the girl was "interested." So we gave them some pamphlets, and then as we were walking away, we noticed all of these people with cameras following us, and apparently the two Asians were being filmed for a comedy show that will be airing on ABC-I in May! Apparently they were pretty famous Youtubers. haha So we had to sign a paper and yeah, I reckon we will probably be on tv- hahahaha!!
Yesterday we went tracting and found these two super Bogan dudes, one of them was super drunk, but they both opened up heaps, and we found their concern, and they were pumped to read the Book of Mormon once we shared it with them, and they are also pumped to come to church this next sunday because we told them that an apostle is coming ( side note, Elder Rendlund is coming to our mission this weekend!!!!!) and they said they want to come!
Then we went to a dinner, and it was a surprise birthday party dinner thing! It was good! The ward members even invited members from Merriwa ward, my last area! it was so nice of them! I'm going to miss this ward when I leave.. IF I leave ;) hahah love it!
This week I focused a lot on the power of prayer. It's amazing of how prayer is connected with every principle of the gospel, it's how we repent, it's how we show faith, it's how we endure to the end, etc. I've had many experiences this week when I felt the power of prayer very strong in my life. I'm so grateful to be able to have that constant connection with God. it's such a blessing that many people don't understand or don't even know about! So I am very grateful for it :)
I love you all!
love Elder Beeson
