This week was fun! I learned a lot for sure. I'll give you the highlights of the week spiritual and not as spiritual ;)
I will start with the not as spiritual stuff, save the best for last!
We had our zone pday on Monday and did some Halloween stuff! haha we did some good appropriate "costumes" our district was a garden, and I was a tomato haha.
We've also been feeding a cat every day this week. we wake up at 5:45 to do it. and we have to put it in everyday at 5:30. it is so funny because everyday without fail my companion dry heaves hahahaha!!
We also had a cottage evening at the O's house this week, and we played some ice breaker games, and I swear, elder Tua'itanu and I are on a whole other level of unity because I was able to guess what he was doing in 3 seconds or less each time he acted something out ;)
So something pretty cool happened this week. elder Tua'itanu and I had a pretty in depth real talk about how things are going in the area and we decided to pretty much drop everyone and to start fresh. we had a few people on baptismal date, but neither of them were progressing. So we had faith that heavenly Father would put someone in our path, and then the next day, we got a call from a member family in the ward who I was pretty close to last year when I served here, Sister R told us that she had been working with a family for the last 6 months, and she said that she feels they are ready. Apparently she has like already taught and told them about the restoration, and plan of salvation, and has given them a book of Mormon, so she said that she had an appointment set up for us to meet them!
so the morning of the appointment K texted sister R and said that she felt like I was meant to come back and teach their family. We went over and met C and K! honestly they are soooooooooo prepared. C went into depth on all the kind of spiritual experiences he has been having over the past year or two, it was cool.
near the close of the lesson, Elder Tua'itanu leaned over to me and said that he felt that we should give C a blessing. elder Tua'itanu was just the man and he acted on the prompting and C accepted a blessing, so we gave him one and man, it was suuuuper powerful. We left after that, and Sister R told us that after we left, he said that he felt an intense warmth, and then as soon as we took our hands off of his head, he felt coldness. Can't wait to see what happens on Tuesday when we see them next :)
We also did our first member-missionary zone conference last night! it was good! We felt inspired to talk about how bearing real, powerful testimony is the best way to help people feel the spirit. and also how escaping the comfort zone is really important in all missionary work. We did an object lesson for it, and it didn't really work, but it was good/ funny!
I feel like the thing I learned this week was how important it is to be ourselves while doing this work. it's important because when we are ourselves, the spirit can be with us because we are being our true selves, and the holy ghost can only testify to when truth is there.
I hope that all made sense!
Love you all family
Love elder Beeson
