Dear family and friends,
this week was pretty crazy again. Every week I've been here has been pretty nuts. I love this ward and area!
it's been so good to be back with Elder Matautia. haha it's like we never parted ;)
just a few highlights of the week:
-Went on exchanges with the como Elders I was with Elder Manlapat. we were tracting, and we came across this sales lady. she asked us what we were selling, and I said "religion" and then we talked for ages! haha she was being super real with us, she knew that her company she was working for was a straight fraud, and she said she would be all goods with door knocking if she knew what she was doing was true, and so we took that opportunity to testify to what we were doing was actually true! We had a super real talk with her, and introduced the BOM, and she was super keen to read it. I asked her to honestly tell me if she was actually keen or not, and she said she was! So we referred her to the Murdoch sisters. cool miracle :)
-Friday was crazy. I was called on Thursday morning to play for a funeral the next day. it was Ephram White's funeral. he was the patriarch's son. Anywho it was even bigger because they are a Maori family, and so I played piano for about 1000 people, and was sight reading, hahah I was kind of tripping out because I never even heard one of the songs I was playing, but it went well :) ! it was cool though, because since I was on the stand, I got to see everyone's faces the entire time while they were listening to the talks and stuff. there were soooooo many people in the crowd that just looked lost and scared and frustrated. ( lots of non-members were there.) and yet they all had a look of love on their face for Ephram and for his family, and so I had a very strong impression of how much heavenly Father loves his children. Wayyyyyyyyyy more than all the Maori's there combined. They did a sweet haka at the end of the service. It was powerful. We helped serve food at the massive feed later that night.
-Saturday was just random! we biked from Gosnells to Piara waters which took like the whole day, because of bloody noses and other stuff, but then we finally got there and the first door we knocked on were these Indian dudes. Long story short, they gave us curry and we gave them a BOM, and then ate the curry, and then we had to get back, but we got lost, and were going to cross a river, but then we found a frog, and since it was the first frog I have ever seen in Australia, I naturally had to catch it, but ripped my pants in the process. hahaha it turned out the be the randomest day ever. it was good though!
I love serving here. love the people, the "culture" and the food, and the frogs ;)
everything is good :)
we are going to Narrogin this sunday to do another member training thing. I'll send pics!
Love you all!
