Dear family and friends,
this week was pretty crazy again. Every week I've been here has been pretty nuts. I love this ward and area!
it's been so good to be back with Elder Matautia. haha it's like we never parted ;)
just a few highlights of the week:
-Went on exchanges with the como Elders I was with Elder Manlapat. we were tracting, and we came across this sales lady. she asked us what we were selling, and I said "religion" and then we talked for ages! haha she was being super real with us, she knew that her company she was working for was a straight fraud, and she said she would be all goods with door knocking if she knew what she was doing was true, and so we took that opportunity to testify to what we were doing was actually true! We had a super real talk with her, and introduced the BOM, and she was super keen to read it. I asked her to honestly tell me if she was actually keen or not, and she said she was! So we referred her to the Murdoch sisters. cool miracle :)
-Friday was crazy. I was called on Thursday morning to play for a funeral the next day. it was Ephram White's funeral. he was the patriarch's son. Anywho it was even bigger because they are a Maori family, and so I played piano for about 1000 people, and was sight reading, hahah I was kind of tripping out because I never even heard one of the songs I was playing, but it went well :) ! it was cool though, because since I was on the stand, I got to see everyone's faces the entire time while they were listening to the talks and stuff. there were soooooo many people in the crowd that just looked lost and scared and frustrated. ( lots of non-members were there.) and yet they all had a look of love on their face for Ephram and for his family, and so I had a very strong impression of how much heavenly Father loves his children. Wayyyyyyyyyy more than all the Maori's there combined. They did a sweet haka at the end of the service. It was powerful. We helped serve food at the massive feed later that night.
-Saturday was just random! we biked from Gosnells to Piara waters which took like the whole day, because of bloody noses and other stuff, but then we finally got there and the first door we knocked on were these Indian dudes. Long story short, they gave us curry and we gave them a BOM, and then ate the curry, and then we had to get back, but we got lost, and were going to cross a river, but then we found a frog, and since it was the first frog I have ever seen in Australia, I naturally had to catch it, but ripped my pants in the process. hahaha it turned out the be the randomest day ever. it was good though!
I love serving here. love the people, the "culture" and the food, and the frogs ;)
everything is good :)
we are going to Narrogin this sunday to do another member training thing. I'll send pics!
Love you all!
love Elder Beeson
ps we are going to the temple next week so I won't email until Thursday!

November 14th-Albany
Dear family and friends,I cannot begin to explain how crazy this week was, it was awesome!!!!!!I'll go spiritual/ cool things that happened this week.So We've been working with C and K and they are both just suuuuuper keen. We went over on Tuesday and we had a super good lesson with C. He loves us, he showed us all of his prized possesions. He used to be a hard out bikie, but now he is a softie ;)
We shared Mosiah 3:19 with him and the whole time we were talking about it, you could just feel the clarity he was experiencing as we broke down the scripture with him. He was pretty much bearing testimony by telling his experiences with each line from the scripture. He gave us some spring onions from his garden, and we made some teriyaki chicken with them and gave them some, since K has been feeling ill.
We got a call from a member in Doubleview ward who had a prompting to call one of his clients from work, he told us that he called this friend ( D) and it turns out Dis in some big time need of help. He had to get all of his stuff put together and cleaned so he could sell his house. So we called D, and he was really happy when we told him that we could give him a hand, so we went to his house and did service there for a few hours. He made us sandwiches and told us that he isn't religious or anything but that he had questions, and then he went on to talk about all of these spiritual experiences he has had since splitting up with his wife. It has caused him to go from atheism to believing in something. We got to bear testimony to him that if he continued to follow the promptings that God would show him the way. He was wayyyy more positive about everything after we talked to him. It's cool how Heavenly Father is preparing ALL of his children to receive the gospel. Even the Atheist Aussies. and the rough bikies. He knows and loves them. It's such a blessing to be part of the work of harvesting those souls for Him.We also went to Albany Branch this weekend. President Fife gave us permission to go with one of the High councillors and the STL's to give them some training on how to do member missionary work. We had to wake up suuuuuuper early to go down there. (3am) and we got there right in time for church to start at 9. They were the nicest people there, and soooooooo welcoming. Right after church we got a call from President Fife. Long story short, Elder Tua'itanu is getting emergency transferred to be the Assistant. Elder Matautia is my new companion! I have already served 4 months with Elder Matautia, but president told me that I would be his last companion until he goes home in January. Crazy. This is all going down tomorrow. Then we travelled back up and took some pics along the way! It was fun :)I relearned this week how important it is to have the Holy Ghost with us in the work. We are the instruments, and the Holy Ghost does everything else. There is so much more clarity in life whenever we have the companionship of the Holy Ghost. It's something we have to work for to have, but it is definitely worth it.I love my mission, my companion, and my new companionlove yous too!Love

This week was fun! I learned a lot for sure. I'll give you the highlights of the week spiritual and not as spiritual ;)
I will start with the not as spiritual stuff, save the best for last!
We had our zone pday on Monday and did some Halloween stuff! haha we did some good appropriate "costumes" our district was a garden, and I was a tomato haha.
We've also been feeding a cat every day this week. we wake up at 5:45 to do it. and we have to put it in everyday at 5:30. it is so funny because everyday without fail my companion dry heaves hahahaha!!
We also had a cottage evening at the O's house this week, and we played some ice breaker games, and I swear, elder Tua'itanu and I are on a whole other level of unity because I was able to guess what he was doing in 3 seconds or less each time he acted something out ;)
So something pretty cool happened this week. elder Tua'itanu and I had a pretty in depth real talk about how things are going in the area and we decided to pretty much drop everyone and to start fresh. we had a few people on baptismal date, but neither of them were progressing. So we had faith that heavenly Father would put someone in our path, and then the next day, we got a call from a member family in the ward who I was pretty close to last year when I served here, Sister R told us that she had been working with a family for the last 6 months, and she said that she feels they are ready. Apparently she has like already taught and told them about the restoration, and plan of salvation, and has given them a book of Mormon, so she said that she had an appointment set up for us to meet them!
so the morning of the appointment K texted sister R and said that she felt like I was meant to come back and teach their family. We went over and met C and K! honestly they are soooooooooo prepared. C went into depth on all the kind of spiritual experiences he has been having over the past year or two, it was cool.
near the close of the lesson, Elder Tua'itanu leaned over to me and said that he felt that we should give C a blessing. elder Tua'itanu was just the man and he acted on the prompting and C accepted a blessing, so we gave him one and man, it was suuuuper powerful. We left after that, and Sister R told us that after we left, he said that he felt an intense warmth, and then as soon as we took our hands off of his head, he felt coldness. Can't wait to see what happens on Tuesday when we see them next :)
We also did our first member-missionary zone conference last night! it was good! We felt inspired to talk about how bearing real, powerful testimony is the best way to help people feel the spirit. and also how escaping the comfort zone is really important in all missionary work. We did an object lesson for it, and it didn't really work, but it was good/ funny!
I feel like the thing I learned this week was how important it is to be ourselves while doing this work. it's important because when we are ourselves, the spirit can be with us because we are being our true selves, and the holy ghost can only testify to when truth is there.
I hope that all made sense!
Love you all family

G’day family and friends. This week was pretty nuts!
On Wednesday I went on exchanges with the Armadale Elders. I was with Elder Antonio. He is super funny. We helped a Malaysian family move from his ward into ours. We tracted for a few hours after that! It was fun! We were talking to a phillipino lady at the door, and she let us in, and so we started talking a bit about her religious background and she said that she was baptized a Mormon in the phillipines 30 years ago! What the heck!! Anywho, Then we talked to another Phillipino lady who was a born again. She cried as she told us her story, and it was good, but then she said, “you know I think the reason you came to my door was because you need to learn from me, not me from you.”love the born agains ;) Then we went to our ward trunk or treat party. It’s funny because I was at the same party last year! It was fun J
We decided to drop a few of our investigators this week. It was good because we had some cool miracles happen! We met an Indonesian lady while tracting that said that she really missed going to church. She said that she would come to church if she knew people. So we told her that we’d introduce her to some people! She also has an 8 year old son who her family from back home wants to be baptized, so we told her that we do baptisms, and her face just lit up! She told us that her son always asks these crazy doctrinal questions and she wants someone to answer them for her! (Adam and eve’s kids getting married… ;) )
We also got a call from Sister R who said that she has been working on a family for us to teach. She said that the dad of this family is really just searching for more spiritual enlightenment right now. Apparently he has been doing some simple things that Sister R has been inviting him to do, and has been having experiences! So she set up a dinner to be able to teach her friend’s whole family!!! Such a miracle. All of their beliefs are like parallel to ours as well. J
We also had a pretty crazy Saturday. We had a zone service project in a swamp. We all got pretty dirty. Elder Tua’itanu and I had another service project after that. Then we had to help out with a baptism. It was pretty rushed, but ended up being pretty decent. Then we had to rush to our chapel for our ward cultural night. Hhahahaha it was sooooo funny. I straight up joined the Samoan, phillipino, and Tahitian cultural dances. ( I was invited to be all 3) but since my dance moves don’t really go with any of the cultures, I probably looked pretty disrespectful. But luckily everyone in the ward knows me…. ;) But yeah it was pretty fun!
Ohhh!! One more thing, We got permission from President fife to go to Narrogin and Albany to do this member zone conference thing so we can “refresh” the members how to do member missionary work! Super excited!!! We are going to Albany branch on the 13th. It is apparently the furthest church unit away from Salt lake in the world!
One thing I learned this week is about how much our intentions matter whenever we are talking about the gospel to someone else. If our intentions when we are talking to them are to just baptize them for the sake of baptizing them, they will be able to feel it. But if your intentions are to show them you love them, they can start the real conversion process. Everyone in my life that has been involved in my conversion process has helped me because I know they love me. I finally have realized that the only two things I need to worry about as a missionary is 1) having the spirit with me, and 2) Loving everyone I come into contact with. I’ve applied it this week and it made this week a lot different than anyother week I’ve had on my mission thus far J
also, we are going to be feeding a cat for the next 2 weeks, and we have to wake up at 5:30 to do it, so we can help this older man.
Love you all, CTR!

G'day Friends and Family! What a loooooooooong week! it was good, but super duper busy!
On Monday after our pday we took a recently returned mini missionary, A ( who is actually older than both Elder Tua'itanu and I) to see a referral we received down in Harrisdale. So we went there and met D who is Sri Lanken. he's in his 30's and speaks good English. Apparently his brother who is living in Texas referred him because his brother just got baptized! So we asked him heaps of questions to see where he is at with everything, and we found that he wants to start on a clean slate so we taught the gospel of Jesus Christ, and then we had A extend the Baptismal invitation and he said yes!! wooooo! he will be baptized next month :)
We had transfers this week, it was pretty nuts getting things all sussed, but it all worked out great :)
We also had HEAPS of stake meetings this week. They were all good meetings, but I'm kind of sick of meetings to be honest! haha.
We saw A on Thursday night, and we went in NOT having the mindset of figuring out what we had to do to get him baptized. So we just asked him some questions about things that we feel we have overlooked ( his brother passed away a few months back) so we asked him about that, and to be honest, normally I feel really uncomfortable and am not sure what to do whenever something sad happens, but I just trusted that something would come to mind if I just listened. So we were just listening and then all of the sudden as soon as I opened my mouth, I knew EXACTLY what to say, and everything became really clear. I felt the spirit strong during that lesson, especially as I opened my mouth. I honestly think that one of the best ways to prove the existence of our loving heavenly father is to trust in him to give you what you need to say when you have no idea what to say, and not only that, but the feeling you get when you do it. It's hard to describe, but it brings peace to me.
On Friday we had lunch with our district leader at our flat, and then when we went back out to the car, the car was robbed!! haha they only took Elder Given & Taupau's stuff, none of mine or Elder Tua'itanu's stuff. The other Elders were sooooo mad. haha Honestly there are soooo many robberies where we live. it is the HOOD here in Gozzies! ;) hahaha.
We had heaps of random days this week. Saturday was crazy as well. The sisters called us a quarter to 5 because they needed us to unlock the chapel for a baptism of a child of record. that started at 5!! So we got there and the font wasn't filled or anything, and it was already 5pm, and we didn't have the key to the font to fill it up, so elder Tua'itanu helped me jump over the glass of the font to start filling it up! hahahaa the space between the ceiling and the top of the glass was pretty thin, it was pretty funny but crazy. It was a good baptism, but it started like 40 minutes late.
Elder Tua'itanu and I also didn't have to play organ this week in sacrament meeting ( we tag team it ;) ) but we still had to play for primary. I love helping out in primary! hah the kids are so funny! After church we had a cottage evening and played some reverse charades at the H's. We did an object lesson in the which we needed a paperclip, and we could not find any anywhere, so we went paper clip tracting! ;) we got one and had a good conversation with the H's next door neighbour :)
One thing I learned this week was that at the end of the day, no matter our callings, how strong or weak we are, how fat or skinny or what ever, heavenly father loves his children unconditionally. BUT sometimes we can only feel that love if we do things that align ourselves with him.
I love you family! ctr!!
