Family and Friends,
this last week was pretty stinking awesome as usual!!
On Monday we had a zone pday and we did a cool scavenger hunt thing hahaa! Elder Sto Tomas and I came dead last, how embarrassing. Then we had a FHE at the 's house. One of the LA sons brought his south african girlfriend, and she loved the lesson, gave her a BOM. We played a few games and it was pretty fun, then we saw brother S!
Tuesday was pretty busy, we had an awesome district meeting, then had some NANDOS! then Elder and sister Millar came and did some trunky work with elder Sto tomas haha! Then we saw T with L. She is doing heaps better. It's so cool to see the changes in people when they begin praying and reading. After that we went straight to the B's house and had an authentic German dish, it was sweet! the G family came to fellowship. They are such a solid family, super excited for their baptism later this month! they had a question about the sacrament, so we taught that, but then that's all we got to teach because Claudia wanted to go to mutual. Then I can't remember what happened after that!
Wednesday- had an awesome finding experience. So the week before last week, I was praying, and I had an image pop into my head. it was of a cloud that was red. I sat and pondered it for a bit, and then I realized that there is a street in our area called REDCLOUD!! So we tracted Redcloud on Wednesday, and 3 doors in, we walked up to this Maori house. They were just chilling in the garage. it was a father an son. the father) is 65 and the son is in his thirties.
We had a good conversation with them for about a half hour. He told us about how he used to be a president of a gang, but then he saw the condition of his kids, so he decided to leave the gang, and become a Christian. It was cool!! He is one of those Christian guys who just likes to keep things simple, and something that he kept saying over and over again in the conversation, was, " you just have to love God and love your neighbour, and that's it. "
So we shared Moroni 7 with him. and talked about how we have to receive charity from God, and then give it. They both thanked us profusely for sharing it. The son said that he would have left in the middle of the conversation if he was uninterested. He told us he was able to do some self reflection that he wasn't able to do in like 7 years, ever since his wife died. They told us to come back any/ all the time. They told us as we were leaving, "Welcome to our family." it was awesome!!
We also went to the F's later that day and had a dinner with them and the B's came. We taught the POS for Andi, because he will not be able to have any lessons until his actual baptism!! haha he works 4 weeks away, and is only home for 1 week after. it was a good lesson, and the girls seemed to remember the majority of it!
Thursday-- can't really remember what happened, but it was good! haha just a lot of planning I think!
Friday- We went on exchange with the Joondalup Elders. I was with Elder Alatasi. He's the man. had some really good teaching opportunities.
Saturday-We went on exchanges with the Assistants! haha I was with Elder Matautia!! like good old times!! it was sooooooo fun! We went contacting right in the downtown city of perth. it was fun and funny! met some crazies and JW's! haha Then we went to a BBQ at the chapel with some Recent converts and Less actives and investigators. That was fun.
Then we tracted for a bit, and we tracted into this Maori dude who reminds me of my uncle john to the T! He had all this funky art work inside, and he made us some pretty unique food. it was some Japanese soup. haha random! I honestly think they wouldn't have let us in if it weren't for how light hearted Elder Matautia and I are together. They said we could come back any time, and he would feed us and stuff. So the next time we go on exchanges there, I am definitely going there!
Then we had to book it back to our area to the baptism for Liahona. It went really well! had a lot of Liahona's less active family show up, so that was good!
Sunday-had heaps of our investigators at church again! the B's came and so did T and R. We had a mean gospel principles lesson on prayer, and an awesome third hour lesson on family history and missionary work. haha it was a bit awkward talking about missionary work with all of our investigators there, but oh well! haha Then after church we went to Sister T's house. One of her son's friends was there too. We were just sharing a spiritual thought, but then that thought turned into an awesome discussion on prayer, and J ( the sons's friend) was super keen to learn more!! we gave her a chapter out of the BOM to read, and got her address and stuff for the Ellenbrook sisters. She said the closing prayer as well! nicee!!!!
Well it is officially official. I am here another transfer!! woooooo!! number 6!! I want to finish my mission here, just so much is happening!! :)
I learned this week that Heavenly Father communicates to us through dreams and visions. I've experienced both. It's amazing what we can learn from him if we pay attention!
love you all family and friends CTR!
Love Elder Beeson
