Best Week Yet!

DEAR EVERYONE!

Okay, that's enough with the caps. BUT how's everyone going?? I hope you're week was as great as mine! (doubt it..) Just kidding, can you tell I'm excited?

I just wanted to share a miracle that happened this week, along with some things that I've learned. There is a member in our ward who is an incredible member missionary. He always invites everyone to come to church with him. He has a neighbor, her name is J, that has been coming to church for the past two weeks. She mentioned she wanted to learn from the missionaries, so guess who they called? NOT Ghostbusters, THE MISSIONARIES! We went and taught her, invited her to be baptized and she accepted our invitation!! But we were bummed because she wanted to wait until April.. So we invited her to pray about it! Long story short, after she prayed, she had a dream. In the dream she kept wanting to take a shower and just felt super dirty, and wanted to be clean. Every time she went to get in the shower, someone would always pull her away. When she told us this, I'm pretty sure I was drooling because of how obvious it was that it was an answer for her to be baptized. We got a call, and she told us that she wants to be baptized January 28th!! How flipping amazing is that? I'll tell you. It's flipping amazing.

I'm learning how much I really need Christ in my life. I am learning that I am really an instrument in His hands. As I lean to him with all of my weaknesses, if I give him everything, He will direct me in the ways I need to be going. He truly is my perfect example, and need Him in my life. I know how much He can bless our lives, and I invite you all to take a moment, and really thank Him for all that you have. I love you and I am grateful for all of your support. Have a great week!! :)

Love, Elder Beeson

Getting Burned

Dear friends and Family,
I don't have too much time today, because we are helping someone move, but this week was pretty awesome, and hot!

I was on exchanges with Elder Kimmins from Canada, and we did some tracting and biking on the super hot day. I think it got up to 43 degrees! We tracted into this dude from Pakistan, and he has a terminal illness, and he's only young, like 30. But he told us that he has been confused why he has this illness, because he has been good his whole life. ( he stood outside and talked with us btw in the 43 degree heat and was sweating) and we told him that we were there to help he see the big picture. His eyes lit up and he is sooooooo keen to learn! We also tracted into this dude from Nigeria whose brother is a member and he has been looking for a church to come to since he has been here! it was cool!

We also went on exchanges with Elder Taupau. It was funny because I was still with elder Matautia, and the whole day I was biking in the middle of them so it was an oreo ;) But yeah we had Elder Taupau lead out the biking, and we ended up on this street tracting, and there was this phillipino lady that we talked to, and then all the sudden this dude from Singapore comes up behind her and he knows Elder Matautia from being his next door neighbour when Elder Matautia served in queens park! So she let us in, and half way during talking to them, I remembered that there was someone on that street who I met over a year ago at church, so I asked if there was a M's there, and it was his house!! He is this massive body builder dude, and he has been having a pretty rough year, but he told us that he has been praying to be able to get back on track spiritually, and that us knocking on his door is a sign that he needs to be a Mormon!! what the?! it was nuts! So we are teaching him now too!

This fast sunday was soooooo good. I was studying all this week about fasting, and it helped me prepare, and to receive the inspiration I need right now. I'm so grateful for the power of praying and FASTING. I love my area and the ward and my companions, and everything!!! and you all too ;)

Christmas

Dear Friends and Family,
Sorry I don't have a lot of time today, the internet was shut down at the library we usually go to, so we are quite behind on the day! But I will say that this week and a halfish was awesome!!

I"ll just share a few miracles from the week!

On exchanges with Elder Birch we followed up with a potential that the sisters found, so we knocked on the door, and I asked for B, and they said that there was no B there, so we were just talking to them, and apparently the sisters gave me the wrong name for the house, but yeah I didn't really know what to say so I just started talking about the BOM and then  the father, let us in  so we went in and met the whole family! and it's nuts how prepared they are! They are Baptists, but don't really believe in everything being taught and have been church hopping for like 6 years trying to find the right church, so we established our purpose and told them that we would help them find the right path, and all the kids and the parents were there and each of them accepted it with happiness :) So we have been teaching them for the past 2 weeks now, and we took the R's over there with us and they are keen to all get baptized once they find out the church is true!! Family of 5! what a miracle!!

On exchanges with elder Noble we were having lunch at Hungry Jacks and this lady walked past us and asked us how we were doing and then we asked her and she said she wasn't feeling the best, and so we were eating, and I saw her bawling in the corner of my eye, and so I felt compassion, and went over to her and just let her vent. She's been through heaps of crap lately, and she needs help, and so we got her number and the sisters and other elders have been helping her clean her house and have been slowly teaching her! Pretty random miracle!

On new year's day we got a call from a random number asking for me and elder Matautia. then he asked if we could come by that day to see him, so we went there and it's this Maori dude and his family. His name is T. So apparently his family has been getting taught for the last 2 years, and they were actively going to church, but not as members. They were just about to get baptized and married, but then heaps of opposition came their way, and so T has been waiting until the new year to start fresh, and so we had a mean as real talk with him and his wife and we committed them to be married and baptized with one of their kids on the 27th of this month!! I was feeling the spirit nudge me so much during the lesson to share a scripture, and it was a super bold scripture, I think it was Alma 32:16, and then yeah the marriage invitation just came out. but they both accepted it and it was nuts! I have honestly never seen a Maori family with so much fire and commitment to make things happen! We are soooooooo excited to help them out!!! literally this just all fell on our laps!

On the way to emails today we were driving, and saw this old dude stack it on his bike pretty hardcore, and so we pulled over and helped him, he was bleeding all over the place, and elder Matautia got blood all over him! But I will say it always feels good to do good for others, even when it puts  you off track.

I learned this week to put faith into action by following the spirit. Some opportunities to help people change in a big way only come once, and so it's important to have the guidance of the spirit in making those things happen! I love it!:)

Love you all family, CTR!
