G'day family and friends!
What an interesting week! It's spring time now! No more "cold" ;) woo!!!
On
pday we finally checked out Mindarie Marina! (it's one of the suburbs
we cover) and it was really cool! haha I wish I would have known about
it earlier!
On
Tuesday we had a sweet zone meeting! It was nice because all of the
District leaders did a training each, so we didn't have to plan as much
for it! it was awesome though!
After lunch we went with D to see
this Romanian lady we met off the street. We went by, and we met her son
because apparently she flew to Romania the night before! Her son is
named R, and he reminds me of my brother Jack!
We pretty much taught him the whole restoration on his
doorstep. It was cool because he asked heaps of questions, and each of
them were answered through just teaching the restoration! He's keen to
be taught more as well! Then we felt like we needed to see since
we haven't been able to catch up with her for a few weeks, and it was
good timing! She told us when she showed up that she was kind of bored,
so she was probably going to do something that wasn't "too spiritual
;)" We had a really good lesson on Faith. She really needed it too :)
On
Wednesday we went on exchanges with the Assistants. It was awesome! I
went with Elder Lotter. We were basically in the city contacting the
entire day!! It was super cool though! I got to see this Singaporean man
that I taught in my first area a few times! His name is J and the
last time I saw him he was in a really bad place because he was losing
his sight, and was depressed because his family wasn't around. But then
when I saw him in the city, I recognized him and his wife, so I
approached them and he didn't recognize me, but he recognized my voice,
and it was cool because he could see me now!!
It was awesome. He is part
of the Sikh religion, but is the coolest dude ever. He told me to come
to his house again when I can! I wish I could. I also talked to a few
other people who just opened right up. I talked to his Indian guy who
said that he just isn't happy with where he is at in his life right now,
and this Japanese guy who said that he feels lost and doesn't have a
purpose! It's crazy how much people open up.
On
the way back from exchanges we got new bikes!! yessssssss! Elder
Sheppherd mercifully gave us some reject bikes! So on Thursday we got
them fixed! We also went and saw T with H. haha It was good
for H to come out with us. It was pretty easy for him though,
because he used to live in the house that T lives in now! Then
after that we had mcm and then went to the Ps for a steak dinner and
lesson!! 😱🍗
Friday
was a bit nuts! we had to squeeze in weekly planning on top of heaps of
errands we had to run. All last minute stuff. We taught G, our old
man investigator. We taught him about the Godhead. He's so humble. He
takes notes religiously ;) ( get it? ahahah) ;)
We
were also able to see W's and Brother S! The W's are
getting sealed this weekend!! They've changed so many things in their
life since I've been here! I can't wait to see them sealed :)
On
Saturday we gave out heaps of invitations for our activity this
Wednesday! We also saw K and J again! It was cool because that family is a pretty crazy mad
house. But then at the end of the lesson, I asked if we could say a
prayer, and you could just feel the Spirit fill the room. It was
powerful!
Yesterday
was Father's day here! We had an awesome fast Sunday and then had a
dinner at J and E's house! We also saw the S's and T's.
It was a special day thinking about Fathers. It was cool to see why
these people loved their earthly Father and why they love their Heavenly
Father. The Spirit was really strong in each of these lessons.
This
week was great!! This week I learned that the best way to find
happiness is to be grateful and to serve unconditionally. The times I
did that during the week, I was happy! When I didn't, I wasn't as happy.
I'm grateful for my dad, and for my Heavenly Father. I've learned
how to be grateful and to serve from each of them. :)
Love you all ( happy Aussie Father's day dad!)
Love Elder Beeson
