Dear Family and Friends,
This week was another super duper good one! The weather was a bit crazy, but it was fun! hopefully the videos here work so you can see what I mean!
On Monday we visited this less active man from El Salvador. I tried to practice my Spanish, but I was reallllllly bad haha so was elder Tutton. We both took 5 years of Spanish, and we stink. But it was good though, he told us to come back on Friday to help him weed. Then we saw a part member family, and we taught a lesson on repentance with this object lesson I basically made up on the spot! hahaa it was funny.
We've been working with this Less active named T, and he said that if we didn't come to church that he would shout us Nandos, so he didn't come this one week, and so he said he'd take us out on Tuesday... but he totally bailed!! haha Elder Tutton and I had to satisfy the nandos craving so we went there that night for dinner ;) We also that day visted the H's family. They are Swedish. another part member family, Sister H totally opened up, and she said that she wants us to come by to teach her girls every week! what a treat! The girls are pretty young, but it will be a good learning experience to teach simply to children! We also saw another returning member who is a police officer, at the end of it he was genuinely so happy we came by, because he told us he has been struggling to come back. I'm so glad we did go by!
On Wednesday night we had a really good lesson with M and K and the girls. S was asking SOOOOOOOOO Many questions about the plan of Salvation! haha it kind of got out of hand, but it was cool to see her open up quite a bit! It's really cool though because all three of the girls say they want to go on missions now, and S and J aren't even baptized yet!
On Thursday we had an awesome zone conference! It motivated me sooooooooo much to find. I reckon the reason missions are "hard" is because no one wants to find. I really got a long lasting desire to find, and I think it is for that reason we were able to find Farzana and Iffekhar! Elder Tutton and I found Farzana while we were tracting on Friday. She is from Bangledesh ( I don't know how to spell it ;) ) She said that her whole life she has been looking for evidences of God's existence, and we told her that if she really wanted to know how to find Him, that we could help her find him. Super duper cool! Elder Tutton and Elder Collings taught her and her husband on exchanges on Saturday, and they are looking like a SOLID family. So that was cool. Then On Friday we also saw The Mechler's. Ben's Older sister Katrina joined in and she opened up heaps and shared a few of her own spiritual experiences she has had in the past. So we are teacher her now too! :)
On Saturday we went on exchanges. I went with Elder Parry from Morgan, Utah. He's the man! haha it was fun! the video and picture on this email are of me and him. The wind and the storm in general was absolutely nuts! There was a tree in the church parking lot that was completely up rooted and on top of the fence. It was intense. Elder Parry and I visited a less active from Ireland and we had a really good discussion with him. Brother M has such a good heart, I feel I understand him pretty well. After exchanges we booked it to the H's to teach N and K. N committed to be baptized again! She just has to talk to her parents. I think that was what was missing the last time she was set on date, she didn't ever tell her parents so she didn't have any confidence, so hopefully that'll help :)
Yesterday was a treat. We were sitting in ward council, then all the sudden this camera dude came in. He was recording throughout the whole day at church. Apparently they have been filming the F family ( a south African celestial family in our ward) for a Mormon message about keeping the Sabbath day holy! haha I was playing piano for sacrament meeting, and I had to sight read 3 of the songs while the guy was recording haha! it was alright though, but basically what I guess I'm trying to say is that I will soon be famous ;) :)
That was the week! the weeks are just flying by here!
I've learned a lot from Elder Tutton since I've been with him. He teaches very simply and has a lot of patience.
I love this gospel and this mission and my companion and my ward and area and everything!
love Elder Beeson
