Dear Friends and Family,
This week and a half has been MONUMENTAL. Honestly, I am soooooo grateful to be where I am right now. I'm learning sooooooo much.
We've been doing HEAPS of finding lately. Like just about all day everyday, and there have been some super cool experiences.
There was this one guy we tracted into that has been prepared for a lonnng time. So we knock on the door and it's this Maori guy that answers, and he told us that he was going to be baptized 13 years ago in 2004, but right before his baptism, he moved from Christchurch to Perth, and he lost contact with the church, and has been wanting to get back into church recently. pretty much his whole family is active, and he told us that his goal is to go to the temple with his WIFE! and just the fact that he's married is a miracle in of itself!!!!
So yeah, we are seeing him tomorrow, and he suggested to us to come over and to teach him, and he would feed us, and to come over Sunday morning, and he'll drive us to church with him. Such a miracle, because we have been working with heaps of people that we have been trying to convince them to want it! He's just has the desire. Such a blessing.
We also went on exchanges with the assistants, and we knocked on a door of a young chinese father, who was really happy to see us, and he was just so willing to act on what we taught, so he said the closing prayer at the end of us talking to Him.
We also went on exchanges with the Rockingham West Elders. I was with Elder Amparado, and we were talking to this lady at the doorstep, and she wasn't too keen, but then I had a thought just to point out the obvious to her, and we asked her if she ever had tried to quit smoking, and she said yesssssssssssss. and then we offered to help her quit, and she was all the sudden so much more willing to listen to us, so we are going to go see her and her partner tomorrow :)
There have been quite a few other experiences that we have had this week, but I will say, that I've been feeling like I've had a second wind kick in, and I am more anxious than ever to just share about the Restoration of the gospel. I've developed a lot of trust in our Father in Heaven this week, that has helped me to do what he wants done. It's powerful. I feel like I understand a little bit more of what it means to lose yourself in the work.
Love you all! Read and pray!!!
Love Elder Beeson
