Miracles Miracles Miracles!!!

This has been the most miraculous week of my mission thus far!! Sooooooooo much has happened this week.

On Monday we had an awesome pday we drove out into the bush and went to this town called Bullsbrook I bought a sweet aussie hat there :) Later that night we went to the R's house. We went there, and we taught brother R's nieces and nephews, and the niece is old enough to be baptized, and since her parents weren't there for the lesson, we invited her to ask for permission to be baptized, then we got a call from brother R later that night, and he said that she got permission, so we set her baptismal date for the 30th of this month :)))

Tuesday was INSANE. So We had a zone meeting on Tuesday, President Fife, came to it, and it actually went really really well. In fact it went so well that, in our MLC on Thursday, we discussed what we discussed in our zone meeting! Anywho, right after zone meeting, we had to book it back for this appointment we had with this lady named... long name! She is from new zealand. Elder Sto Tomas and Elder Impas found her on exchanges. So we went there, and it was the coolest thing ever! So she is suuuuuuper prepared. She has been studying this bible her grandfather gave her when she was young for years. She has never been involved in any sort of a church though. We ended up teaching her the plan of salvation, and before we taught each point, we asked her what her beliefs were of the next point, and so we asked her about what she believes will happen after this life, and she said, "it doesn't say this in the bible anywhere, but this is just something I've already believed, I just believe that when people die, that if they don't get a chance to hear the gospel, that they will have the opportunity." What the heck!!!! every single one of her beliefs were exact with the church's teachings. So naturally when we brought of baptism, she very enthusiactically said, "YES!" She was very teary during our entire visit. She said she is so excited to join the church. nice!!!!

Later on Tuesday night, we had an appointment with D and her daughters, they are the ones that share their backyard fence with the fence of the chapel. We had M and K ( our recent converts) and D come to the lesson. We taught a very simple plan of salvation mixed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then we invited them all to be baptized, and they all said, "yes!" so their entire family (including her husband) will be baptized next month!!!!! wow! So we have 6 people we are helping work toward baptism now :)) awesome awesome!!

On Wednesday, in the morning we tracted with one of the youth in our ward, C. He is going to be an apostle someday, I'm convinced. While tracting, we found a member who wasn't on the records, this aussie lady just covered in tattoos. We also tracted into a less active's house that I didn't know live there, but apparently they have been there for ages, and we actually taught the less active's partner, named R, and she is keen to have us come back and teach more. There has been a lot of miscommunication and stuff with her in the past because people have been really pushing for her kids to be baptized, but yeah we had a really good talk about the whole ordeal, and now she wants to learn more. haha I actually invited her to be baptized and she said no, but it was worth the try ;) 

On Thursday we had mlc and another lesson with D and her kids! still super keen and all reading the book of Mormon :)

Friday was a bit nuts. We had mini missions in our stake, and we had to organize the majority of it. it was a bit hectic beause 7 of the 18 young men didn't show up, so a lot of reassignments had to be made. We got L, a convert of 2 years and  he did awesome this weekend, we did quite a bit of tracting in the rain and hail and found some really good potentials :) We also taught D's cousins at his house. We had a really good lesson on the plan of salvation. We invited all of them to be baptized because why not, and they said they would if they came to know if it was true :) 

Saturday we had another lesson with D, and her girls at D's house. They are all so accepting, and are progressing really well. What I love about them is that they read every chapter we invite them to read, even though they don't understand it. They are solid!!

Sunday was a bit nuts as well, we had to bless the sacrament, because all of the priests were on mini missions. We had an appointment with F and I at the K's house. It went pretty good, but it was just rushed because we ended the lesson15 minutes after the closing fireside for the mini mission started!!! So we booked it there, and we heard some awesome testimonies! K actually went on the mini mission as well, even though it was her birthday on sunday! She'll be awesome when she serves!! 

This was just such an amazing week. Each week gets busier and better. Love it love it

It's time to go! I love you mom and the family. Just know that I am putting in EVERYTHING into serving the Lord right now, and ever since I've made that my determination things have been happening. :) I love the work and the Lord and you

One year down!!

Dear Family and friends,

 I don't have much time today, but I will give you a quick low down on how the week went! It's already been a year!! Far out!! 

I'll  just give you the highlights:

-We had an awesome baptismal Service with S. She bore a powerful testimony at the end, and it was cool because our south African investigator tried to drop us, but then he ended up coming, and now we have a dinner appointment with him with celestial south African family in the ward! 

-Zone conference was awesome. Talked a lot about the kind of faith that CAUSES things to happen. Awesome awesome.

-Friday was my year mark so of course we went to uncle nazzah's!! ( nandos ;) ) We also saw our investigator D who wants to join the church, and apparently her husband chatted with someone on Mormon.org and now he is keen to join the church as well!! We have a lesson with them on Tuesday and will hopefully commit the entire family to baptism :) the daughter even had a dream they moved to Utah!! haha

-Sunday we had quite a bit of opposition. Our 2 baptismal dates didn't come to church so we called them up after and they told us they weren't interested anymore even after all the fellowship and free meals the received from the members :( oh well. haha But then we got back to the flat last night and both of our bikes were stolen. 😲🌵 bummer. I wasn't as sad about this bike being stolen. I was more sad when my original was. ( the bike I had up until yesterday was elder Tutton's.) They literally climbed on to our balcony and threw them both over the fence and took off. our upstairs neighbour told us. hahaha But yeah 1 year down! I wish I had more time left!! I will maximise every second I have to make things happen here :)

Dear Family and Friends,

This was quite a miraculous week. Very Miraculous!! Let me tell you what happened!

 

So on Monday night, we had a cottage evening at the Fs which is the most celestial family ever!! They are south African. Anywho, R our investigator came, and then The P's came in, and S ran up to me and told me that her dad gave her permission to be baptized!!!! :))))) We have been praying for this SPECIFIC miracle to happen for the past 3 months, and now her dad's heart is softened! Miracle!! She will be baptized this Thursday, the 30th :) 

 

She has asked that I baptize her. Soooo awesome. Then we had our cottage evening, and it went really well. We had a lesson on family prayer, and then elder Tutton was asked to bear his testimony for the last time. It was like a cottage evening/ a goodbye party for Elder Tutton, he was only here for 6ish weeks, and the Ward just loved him so much. D did a Haka for him. It was awesome, but pretty sad to see him go at the same time.

On Tuesday we had kind of an early transfer, I'm now with Elder Sto Tomas, and yeah things are happening already!!

We saw D who is this south African guy on Tuesday and Wednesday. We had a good lesson with him on Tuesday, and we found out his concern and so we invited him to read 2 Nephi 4, and so we came back the next day, and he read it, but he didn't understand the context, so we taught the entire restoration, and the lesson was awesome!! Elder Sto Tomas is an amazing teacher! He committed to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. We will be seeing him with Brother L on Tuesday.  :)

Oh yeah on Wednesday, we met with A and D. They were the super keen ones that Elder tutton tracted into on exchanges. So we had a sit down talk/ lesson thing with them. A has been reading up on our church for the past 2 years, so he brought up a few anti Mormon things, but we resolved all of them pretty well, and then finally got to ask them questions. We had a good lesson on the atonement, and the Gifts it brings us. Since A works 4 weeks away and comes home for only a week every four weeks, we won't be able to teach him until the end of July. But he gave us permission to teach D and her daughters while he is gone. It'll be awesome!! We will see them at the start of school holidays next week.

On Thursday, we went over with Sister F again to see R and her Daughter B. We taught the Godhead, and they received it really well. We taught The Who, what, When, where, why , and how of each of the memebers of the godhead, so they could see the different roles. it was awesome! We later taught them again on Saturday, and we re-set R and set B on baptismal date for July 16th!! They were really excited, and so are we :))

On Friday we had a looooooooooooong lesson with E. He is our Peruvian investigator. We taught about the Priesthood, but he had an objection to like every single point we made. He was quite confounded with quite a few of the things we said about the Melchizidek Priesthood, but yeah, if every lesson goes how the one did on Friday, I think he might be an investigator for AGESSSSSSS. so yeah hopefully not.

On Saturday after our lesson with R and B, we were just about to go tracting, but elder Sto tomas had to use the toilet, so we went to brother Ks house, and I'm glad we did. He was telling us about his son that is in prison, and we got to do some real ministering. It was a really cool spiritual experience for us all.

Yesterday we had an awesome Sunday!! R and B both came to church, and so did the S family!! It was soooo good too see them all there. The S's came because Elder Sto Tomas was very bold in his invitation, and it's pretty hard to say no Elder Sto tomas ;)

After church I interviewed M for baptism ( someone the Butler Elders are teaching) it was awesome, He is sooooo prepared and ready. Then we had a lesson at the P's and The Elder's came over and did her interview as well, and she passed too!! :)) Very exciting :)

But yeah, lots is happening, it's tough to keep up with everything, but things are as they should be, and I love it :)

I looooooooooove the work. there is nothing better than being able to help someone feel the spirit. It gives them light, and you can see it in their eyes :)
